Kenyan Premier League (KPL) giants AFC Leopards have launched their kits for the 2020/21 season.
Ingwe, as they are popularly known, have infused their popular blue and white to create an exciting home jersey and shorts which hit the stores on Friday.
The kit seemed to excite fans on social media with many lauding the club for creating an attractive brand.
“This is a good kit, let’s hope this translates to results. Sisi fans twaumia (We fans are suffering),” one fan said.
However, others hoped the attractive kit will also see the club post equally good results in the KPL and end their hoodoo against perennial rivals Gor Mahia who are unbeaten against Ingwe in the last four years.
“Good looking jersey, good looking team bus, good looking officials, predictable end season results,” said another observer on social media.

Despite their pedigree as Kenya’s second most successful team, Leopards last won the KPL title in 1998 and have seen Gor win seven of the last eight league crowns, taking their tally to a record extending 19.
Leopards were sixth on the KPL standings at the time the league was halted in March due to the Coronavirus pandemic, before the season was ended prematurely with Gor declared champions.
The replica kits are available for purchase at the official club stores at Sawa Mall (Second Floor, B15) along Moi Avenue in Nairobi’s Central Business District.
Club members can get them at Sh2,600 through branches while non-members can purchase at Sh2,800.
