Deputy President William Ruto has hit out at those seeking to push him out of Jubilee Party, insisting the party was built on strong foundations.
While visiting the party’s headquarters in Pangani, Nairobi on Tuesday, Ruto, who has been under constant attack from a section of Jubilee members called Kieleweke said: “Jubilee is a national party that is founded on the principles of inclusion, cohesion and transformation of our country. Our politics is driven by ideas that are people-centred.”
Dr Ruto has had to fight off numerous attacks from in and out of Jubilee as a group coalescing around President Uhuru Kenyatta continue to blast him for starting early campaigns ahead of the 2022 General Election instead of helping the Head of State achieve his agenda and seal his legacy.
The DP, has however, insisted that his countrywide tours are meant to inspect government projects, telling those terming them early campaign not to get scared as the race has not yet even began.
Ruto was accompanied by Langata MP Nixon Korir.
